Appalling. Tech platform not set up sufficiently. Ask for confidential data with no guarantee that it will be protected when you are unable to set up an account. Limited ability to contact. I don't trust them so not following through with the process. How do they have access to millions of people's sensitive data and run a service like this !!?

Would love to leave a good review regarding my experience with Equifax, unfortunately was unable to get my credit report as the site asks you to accept and tick their terms and conditions box.....but has no option to tick the terms and conditions box... meaning I am unable to proceed, Ridiculous.

Absolutely shocking. Equifax holds incorrect information on you which they share with creditors or identity checks. This then means you’re then prohibited from accessing credit or setting up accounts because you can’t get their questions “correct” to prove your identity.

You can’t email them. You can only talk to an Indian call centre who are polite but only capable of “computer says no” responses.

If you are a bank, creditor or corporation using Equifax then you are doing yourself a huge disservice. They are appalling.

Furthermore you aren’t able to get Equifax to correct their errors without setting up an account and sharing more data with them. This is an absolute scam.

Steer clear and use Experian instead.

I HATE Equifax. Only opened an account with them because mortgage provider said that was the credit agency they used.
They messed up - got my address wrong and on my husband's they missed off vital info. I cancelled the subscription but they still kept taking the payment! They take it from card so can't solve by cancelling a direct debit. Finally closed that bank account so it can't happen again. Be aware - there is no online help in the UK. You have to open another account (no kidding) with their help team which is a different system to make a complaint. To get help with an issue you have to call their customer service people - no email address/no online chat.

I've found this company an excellent source of detailed information. I can't believe the depth of financial background you can cover on yourself and the ease with which you can find such information. It's worth every penny in understanding how your credit score is worked out and how you can improve upon it. Highly recommend.

This company gave my name to Thames Water to create a subscription for me in a hotel i was staying in and caused an adverse account and low credit score therefore because of this company i cant buy a house now they basically ruined my future. now they have removed the fraud account but i have no visibility whatsoever if they will update the banks, etc with this removal of fraud. they are basically like a nightmare and i wish no bank or no people use them.

Absolutely rubbish company! I subscribed to do the trial , and then the site had tech difficulties so I couldn't log in. I sent an email to cancel and received automated emails back instructing me to log into my account (yes the account the site would not let me log into). 8 emails later and the situation still isn't resolved so they will take money out of my account... INCOMPETENT. CRAP CUSTOMER SERVICE. BAD ALL ROUND

A useless company thats makes it so difficult to unsubscribe. Took money out of my account when i didnt even subscribe and the hurdles to get money back. Unbelievable.

How has the British people been left with a Company that doesn’t bother to update any ones file or does it store the correct information it’s peoples lives they play with you call up they can’t understand you

Difficult to login,
And they are mistaken my name from my father’s name,
Even if the name is more or less the same, they should double by the date of birth from who is applying, not my credit score is down to 50 and they cant do anything about it
They need to double check who is who as this is not right,

Terrible company.
Be very careful not to take out the free trial period. I did this and have just been charged for a month in advance although I cancelled my account after two weeks.
Very unethical company that bizzarely are giving out confidential information that cannot be trusted

Worst service ever. I wish I could add a negative star. Without any reason, the credit score got hit. They could not give any explanation as well. And then, due to this score, I could not get my car loan and got hit again. I wish I checked Trustpilot before opening Equifax account

This is a joke, my report says I am on the electoral register for the years 2019/2020/2021/2022 on the side it states: YEARS ON THE ELECTORAL REGISTER = 0 ZERO. How this company counts years? Dog years? Mars years? Pluto? 4 earth years are considered zero. How can you trust these scammers to rule people's credit and ruin their lives? SCAMMERS

Just exactly who are these people Ive just been blown out trying to sign up with Vodafone broadband because virgin media can't install in my new flat who I've been loyal to for 24 years never missed a payment
Yet Vodafone do a check on Equifax and now I can't sign up with them
Totally livid with it
Never had credit in my life and never wanted it
So Equifax I'd love to hear how you can affect me signing up with these guys

In January after submitting a formal complaint for substantial errors in my report, they issued a new one. Trusting that the new amended report was correct I put it aside without checking (totally my fault). Now I found that no amendments were made but they added a clause stating “care should therefore be taken when using the creditworthiness of the individual concerned”. You cannot contact them unless by phone, how convenient, so you cannot put anything in writing. They are not to be trusted. I will be submitting a complaint to the FCA.
